The Dept of Commerce has a nice briefing report on women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). What’s nice is that they break it down by age cohort.
Unfortunately, the employment stats lag considerably (i.e., not breaking 30%).
I need to dig out the breakdown for Computer Science. It would also be nice to have a more direct time series. I presume each cohort has a peak time for educational attainment (rough, the years when that cohort is in the standard ages for college, grad school, etc.). I wouldn’t be surprised if there were a trend toward younger people getting college degrees.
(Sorry for the cropping. I don’t feel like wrestling with Yet Another WordPress Instance right this second.)
